Spring House - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  If you are looking for the gift certificate entry for Hydrangea Hippo and Design Team announcement, click here.

The weather here in Northern California has been slowly transitioning to spring.  The flowers are starting to bloom and the hills around me have turned a lovely shade of green.  I have been decluttering and destashing and just trying to lighten everything up after our winter.  Time to change out my dining room centerpiece.  This year I think I may just make some fun paper houses to decorate.

For this house I used some of the gorgeous Zephyr Collection from Prima Marketing.
Mixed with a few items from my Prima Grab Bag I was quickly able to create this spring time house using my Cricut and the Winter Woodland cartridge (yes, it was originally a Christmas house)
I love the bright, spring time colors in the Zephyr collection and think they will brighten my dining room this spring.

Be sure and swing by the Your Memories Here store for all your Prima needs, including the 2013 releases that are on pre-order now.

And don't forget to check out the post below for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate from Hydrangea Hippo.  (be sure to click the widget if you are already a subscriber so I know you have entered.)

Things I Love - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Today to share with you a project I made using the gorgeous papers from Prima Marketing's Romance Novel collection; Things I love...and I certainly do love some Prima.  hee hee

This is Mackenzie opening her presents on Christmas morning.  She got a new animal hat and a guitar...both things she really loves.

This collection is full of beautiful flowers, bling, and stunning papers.  And I couldn't resist adding some older laces to the mix.  I have had such an obsession lately with banners and couldn't resist hand cutting this banner out of some old fabric I had in my stash.  It didn't turn out exactly how I had planned, but......

The new Prima collections are beginning to ship, be sure to pop into the Your Memories Here store to grab yours at a great price.

Ball Drop

Hi everyone!  Today I feel a bit like I am dropping the ball.  So much to do, so much to share.  But for now I wanted to share with you a project I made with the January kit,  Live Life.  I love the Heidi Swap mist that is in this kit and I couldn't resist using it in two different ways on this project.  First I splattered bits of mist on my background paper and then I sprayed my Jillibean letters with it to change their color.
This kit has been so much fun to work with that I know it will sell out soon.  This year for New Years Eve we decided to take it easy and spend time at home with the children.  Just wasn't feeling the party vibe I guess.  Anyway...we made lots of tasty snacks, had some sparkling cider, enjoyed each other's company and watched the ball drop.  So exciting.  lol

The January challenges are up so don't forget to check out the blog post for your chance at some great prizes.  There is a super cute sketch for layouts as well as fabulous card inspiration.

Let the Eat Cake

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you a layout I made using a sketch from Heather.  I have been trying to make more multi photo layouts...at least sometimes.

OK, well....here is the sketch.
And my take
I used some older Glitz papers, a few Prima letters and lots of flowers and trims from the Hydrangea Hippo Etsy store.

These are our desserts from Thanksgiving.  We had only a small celebration this year.  The five of us, my sister and niece.  So of course we needed a lot of desserts....Apple pie, gingerbread cupcakes, blondies, and a crumble.  Needless to say, no one went hungry.

Anyway...I think I am gaining weight just looking at them.  So I better get busy.  Hope you are having a great day.

Hugs.

Unbearably Cute - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Nancy here today to share with you a project I made using some of the incredible finds from the Your Memories Here store.

Ainsley has seen her older sister running around in animal hats for quite a while and really wanted one for Christmas.  She was so happy to find it under the tree.  I couldn't resist taking a few photos.

I used a few papers from the Prima Grab bag I purchased from the YMH store, along with many flowers, a few cut outs, some trinkets, bling and letters to complete my project.   I love that there are bits and pieces of everything in these bags.  It makes it so fun to mix and match all the different elements.
Lots of distressing with my Comfort Craft distress tool and walnut stain distress inks tied everything together.
Be sure to grab the older collections before they are gone, and be on the lookout for new Prima grab bags and complete collections!  The new Prima is beginning shipping soon!

Hugs.

Hello There - The Sampler

Hi everyone! I am back from four days at Disneyland and CHA!  Did you miss me?  hee hee  Well, today I wanted to share with you another project made with the gorgeous January kit, Live Life. from the Sampler.  I really think this has got to be my favorite kit yet.

I have been on a total banner kick lately....just can't seem to get enough of them.  And I have found a new love in the Heidi Swapp Color shine.  It has such a fabulous opacity.  And the colors in this kit...the patterns....swoon.  I think I am in love with Simple Stories.

Be sure and check out the Card and Sketch challenges over on the Sampler blog.  And be on the lookout for some great new products fresh from CHA in upcoming kits!  We have some great things on the way.

Hugs.

OMG 17 - Your Memories Here

Hi everyone!  Today I wanted to share with you something a little different, emphasis on the little.  hee hee  Everyone knows that Prima is great for those girly, flowery pages....but what about the men/boys in your life?  It has been known to happen before that I have chosen to add a few flowers, maybe even a bit of pink to my masculine pages, but today....

I used a piece of paper from my Out of the Blue Collection for the background and mixed it with a bit of some older Londonerry papers from a few releases ago with some of the fun chipboards from the summer release, Craftsman.
I love these photos of Brighton on his birthday.  I can't believe he is already 17.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Hugs.
